Americanization is the official single from his forthcoming album called Beats Against The Beast Act II: A Future Past In The Present. The song is a reflection of Battlekat’s view on the state of world politics; accentuating the impact that American media has had on the social and economic dynamics in South Africa, and further expounds the model of “Roman imperialism” and its evolution; “Anglo-American Neo- imperialism” threading with theological and historical themes. His upcoming album is a follow up to Beats Against The Beast Vol.1: The Re-Genesis 2006 which had guest features from the likes of Optical Illusion, Zubz, Tumi (Stogie T), Proverb, Mawe2, Golden Shovel, X-Rate, Mr.Beef, Reason, Instro, Wizardry, Ms Nthabi, Mr.C, PRO, Maggz, Explicit, and Parable. The single is a perfect example of the topics you can expect him to field on the project as Americanization holds topics of African colonisation at its very belly.
