@MeekMill ft @Miguel - Stay Woke

Following his release from prison, fans have been patiently waiting to hear some new music from the Philadelphia rapper and it is finally here. Meek Mill releases a new single today alongside Miguel called Stay Woke.  

I think we all suspected that Meek Mill's music would take a shift after his release from prison and this single proves our suspicions correct. On this record we get to hear a more mature Meek Mill, rapping about some of the issues faced by the US black community. The song, in part, is a reflection on his own struggles with the prison system as well as the ills of black society. He battles with the issue of American police brutality and black on black violence, on his last verse he cautions black society to think twice before committing black on black violence. A powerful song packed with food for thought.
