We are very excited and proud to announce that Slikour Onlife has opened up its platform to align with Sovereign State to take over Great Dane's Gud+ Friday nights for showcases.
Sovereign State aims to be a sub-cultural movement that focuses on nurturing talent and polishing the careers of the undiscovered rough diamonds in the hip hop space of South Africa. They want to give artists an opportunity to express themselves freely, without judgement or governance, and without rules or creative borders. They want to demonstrate that you can become successful by going about your business in your own way, as long as you go about it in the right way. Therein lies the key, helping the artists and guiding them about professionalism and personal development.
This mindset lends itself ideally to the SlikourOnLife brand and this is where our two forces find the synergy. Where SlikourOnLife is a content driven media platform that unearths the raw talent of South African hip hop, Sovereign State will complete this program by providing the artists a space to showcase their craft in front of the people out there on the streets. The Slikour Onlife Incubator (#SOLIncubator) platform specifically, is where Sovereign State will plug in to SOL’s outreach, to provide a complete 360 degree mentorship campaign, activated on a monthly basis. This content driven division based on video interviews, vlogs, collaboration, PR creations, live performances, recorded material, and resource sharing, gives this partnership its baseline foundation.
Slikour Onlife and Sovereign State, the coming together of two hip hop brands with only one thing in mind - the artists.
