Wale is coming off the surprise release of his EP titled Self Promotion which dropped early this morning. Since yesterday, the rapper teased about something coming but he never gave anything away until the project dropped. It houses a total of four tracks and we highlight Salary Kaep being that it stood out for many people who've already listened to the project not only for the controversial lyrics but because of the track's spelling clearly being inspired by former NFL player, Colin Kaepernick whose speech is used as the track's opening message.
Colin has become a voice for many people facing social injustice and racism and Wale pays tribute to the hero by using his music to help fight the system. He's unapologetically pro-black and addresses the issues faced by people of colour in the states. Give Salary Kaep as well as the rest of Self Promotion a listen and tell us what you think.
