@Nelz_SA - Lovies EP

It's Lovies EP day as Nelz finally delivers her sensual project sure to have you drifting off into your own world eventually. Nelz is a well rounded musician, she knows how to be hard when needed, yet she can still bring out her softness with the vocals to complete a mood. She does just that on Lovies. You can be forgiven for thinking that she's in the wrong month with the overdose of sexiness on this but, "any time is tea time," as they say.

She opens up the project on a high note with Backseat Lovin which leaves a lot to the imagination as she paints pictures of a naughty love affair in a whip. She sips into Naughty Ride which kinda picks up from the previous track in theme but is more bouncy sonically. With this song, she slowly changes the direction of the EP into a mild trap vibe that seeps in on Show Me. She keeps the concept of love, romance, and intimacy intact the whole time, but it gradually becomes less prominent as her hardcore rapper comes on. 

By the time we get to In My Bed, it's a fusion of her hard rapper with the vulnerability we heard on Backseat Lovin. This is dope. We love how she fledged out the tracklist without throwing us off emotionally or drowning us in raunchiness. The sound is what keeps everything together, take for instance the dreamy, hollow production juxtaposed by these heavy kicks on In My Bed. She uses the music as a guide through her state of love and longing, brilliant if you ask me. She closes off the EP with Feelings which is a drip of the dreaminess in the previous track. She doesn't say much here but she adds to the elusion of her still laying in her bed feeling hazy about missing her lover. Simple, clean, and a well executed concept that was carried gracefully throughout the EP. YES WENA MOGHEL!
