Veteran rap group Slum Village is gearing up to release a new project soon in celebration of the 20th anniversary of their Fantastic Vol.2 album. I was listening to Selfish the other day and realised just how far Slum Village has come and the fact that they still plan on releasing new material is a Hip Hop head's dream. We had a chat with Young RJ as well as Guilty Simpson and Supa Kaine a while back where the former spoke about Detroit as well as deceased SV member, J Dilla's legacy.
Looking to build momentum for their Lost Scrolls Vol. 2 album, Slum Village (which currently consists of Young RJ and T3) shared an unreleased remix of Hold Tight featuring Q-Tip which is originally found on Fantastic Vol.2. The track is a blast from the past but if you're one for the timeless classics, this is something to listen to.
