@flex_vondoom - The Palm Tree Project

Without a moment to spare, the SOL Incubator's Flex Von Doom finally delivers The Palm Tree Project. Over time, the rapper has shown his versatility outside of the Incubator class as well as amongst other young artists, you can tell from his lyrics all the way to the production that he takes his craft seriously which is something that he should pride himself in. The Palm Tree Project features thirteen tracks, with some like Bano Mona and 16 Cups having been released before as loose singles. It also includes the remix of Disclaimer with Blaklez, pH and Sean Pages which they recorded towards the end of last year. 

While he handles most of the project alone, Flex is also assisted by other rappers like Stash, Morisky and fellow Incubator classmate, Dala Fam, amongst others. Island Of Thought is definitely a highlight of the project, not only are we introduced to the body of work as a whole, but we also get to hear Flex in a different light. I believe that what he does on his songs is nothing short of extraordinary. You can clearly hear the transition from the laid-back, introspective songs to the loud sort of trappy and upbeat tracks that find him and the featured artists in their element. Needless to say, The Palm Tree Project is very well balanced, I like the arrangement and how Flex didn't go out on a limb to unnecessarily taking it over the top. The project was definitely worth the wait, we enjoyed it and we hope you do too.
