@RickyTyler - Deja vu

By @Spokenpriestess on 03/16/2018 in Music Video

Playground Production's Ricky Tyler drops off a very loaded visual for his latest song, Deja Vu, which is sure to have you either feeling a heavy lump in your throat, or being completely in tears as you too imagine the people you've lost in that body bag.

I want to hate this visual for the pain it invokes in me but that just goes to show how brilliant it is. The slow pan style of the video builds up to a plethora of emotions as you start to realise what is really happening in front of Ricky. You start to clutch your pearls as you realise that this poor kid is paralysed in a very dreadful situation. You begin to feel his hopelessness as all he can do is go into a daze, singing and rapping about the pain. It's so insane how cinematic this music video is cause even though Ricky sIngs about the past, he looks like he's gone into a present trance while the rest of the world around him is happening, which kinda reminds you of that time you got the call that told you your mom (or dad, or uncle, or brother...) was dead. Just wow. I am in tears at the brilliance and unmatched cinematography of this music video. It's utterly painful and that's the beauty in the execution. The whole world needs to see this (no matter the pain).
