@PuppetMasters_ ft #Flabba - Umama Uthe

By @Spokenpriestess on 03/09/2018 in Stream & Download

It's #ConversationsWithFlabba day as the industry and fans at large remember him on the day that he was murdered 3 years ago. It's a bitter sweet day as a lot of music from and about him is coming into the public space for the first time since he departed.

The thing about music is that it makes one immortal and we see that with a posthumous track titled Umama Uthe that drops courtesy of the Puppet Masters. Let's start at the beginning. The Puppet Masters are a collection of influential people in the culture, namely DJ 1D, Capstone, and Conscious, who are planing on dropping a double disc album with over 30 artists and 18 producers involved across 6 countries. They kick off their journey to No Strings Attached with sharing a contribution that Flabba did referencing his mother, Pearl Habedi's, advice to never let them breathe. The track's atmosphere is playful as is characteristic of Flabba's signature on his tracks but he also brings out that lethal flow he's known for. He paints pictures of his lyrical savagery on the track reminding rappers that he could kill them on the mic at any given time. It's so refreshing hearing from him again, for a moment in time you actually forget what the reality is as you jam to the track. Bravo Puppet Masters, siyabonga.
