In part 2 of our sit down with Makwa, we get to know him a little bit more as he shares stories about his upbringing and the kind of person he is. He speaks on the pretentious nature of the industry and people in the limelight before warning possible collaborators about trying to rip his value off.
Things get interesting when he explains to us why he "mancotted" (boycotted) the SAHHAs last year, and we also get into a debate about the music we post up on the website. A very rare conversation in public but it's something I would love to unpack even more in debate. You gotta love Makwa for his honesty and frank character. He's also so funny, perhaps that comedy gig might not be such a bad idea.
