If you haven't seen nor heard the word going around, Nasty C is officially signed to Universal Music Group and he confirmed it earlier today after keeping mum about the move for sometime now. As another word grows that his former record label, Mabala Noise, is liquidating, it would appear that he either outgrew the company or was securing a more certain future pending the liquidation (if at all he knew about it).
btw I’m UMG now ???????? Mabala Noise is still & will always be family tho. @SirGovner You gotta promise to continue opening doors for our youth and motivating them to aim high, G!!! ???????? ps. I’M BRINGING YOU UP ON STAGE WHEN I GET MY GRAMMY ???????????????????? pic.twitter.com/0YupoFaICz

To stick to the positives though, Ivy's Son is on a new leaf of his career. Baby boy just turned 21 and it's hard to believe that he has already achieved the innumerable impact that he has at such a tender age. Proof that you can do anything you set your mind to kids! Naturally, the debate about independence and signing to a major label will arise with the fans but as long as an artist is focused in his path, all things work out for their greater good. Congratulations to Nasty C and Universal on this new partnership. We look forward to seeing their work shine this year.
