@THEREALSWIZZZ On Poison Release Date, Levelling Up x His Connection With African Music

By @Spokenpriestess on 02/08/2018 in On The Ground

There has never been an international artist so invested in our country like Swizz Beatz was during his recent visit home. Although he naturally couldn't see more of Mzantsi due to time constraints, he was well vested in our music, vibing with our artists, he only wore local brands while down here, and he engaged everyone he came across with an open mind.

In our conversation with him we talk about who he connected with before landing and how they accommodated him. He also talks about why he decided to study at Harvard having had such a successful music career. We get into how No Commission was born as well as his thoughts on how brands should engage the culture. Swizz Beatz further gives us a timeline for the follow up to his legendary One Man Band debut album. And if you ever wondered why he feels at home with our music and more, he explains just what it is about our magic that attracts him. In Swizzy we trust!
