With the hip hop scene in Zimbabwe growing significantly, we're introduced to a new talent who is yet to take the country's rap scene by storm. Crooger is a young rapper from Harare who prides himself in being a role model to young kids as well as having his peers look to him for inspiration.
For his latest single, Boyz Repa Ghetto, Crooger hooks up with a well-known Zim rapper named Jnr Brown for a trap-infused hip hop tale. The duo rap about their success in rising from the ghetto to where they currently are. Something I've always appreciated about music, especially hip hop, is that language is never a barrier when a song just naturally sounds dope. Crooger and Brown hit one of the hoods in Zimbabwe where they're immediately shown love by the locals, further proof that you can take someone out of the ghetto but you can't take the ghetto out of them.
