Mblee has finally dropped her self titled EP and it's quite an impressive body infused with a variety of flavours while still giving you ample taste of who she is. We still haven't dissected with her why she went from suga to being in the duurt, even though we know what the concept is about.
On this project, she produces islandy flavours with dancehall elements while trapping. This is something that will have you listening closer as her approach to the music is quite fresh. We particularly love her on Trap Count where she starts to sing and her voice is silky AF. Shu! Her raspy voice delivers the sexiest of vocals as she flaunts her confidence in every track. Our favourite thing about the EP is how she is in her zone, not trying too hard to sound hard or like anything she's not. This is a good look 'cause it immediately invites you into her world. Great first effort on her end. We're definitely looking forward to more of her work this year.
