Joshua The I Am is on time with his third consecutive drop in the past 3 weeks as he set out to let us into his world through the music. Just A Lie explores a gloomy realisation as Joshua thinks out loud about life in the limelight and how life has been since his name became a bit more prominent.
He raps about his dwindled friendships, groupies, family responsibilities, and just wanting to be who he is at all costs. Another look into what lies beyond what a lot of people perceive as "glitz and glam." With all the music that Joshua has been dropping, it's clear to see that he intends to be an artist who is well in touch with his feelings and truth no matter what. Although he is fundamentally a rapper, his level of braggadocio is the most modest one will come across. You almost get a sense of wanting to know him better the more you listen to his music.
