AKA decided to roll out his second single this week just two days before his birthday, what a guy. Just a few days ago the Supa Mega dropped his Stogie T assisted Star Signs single which managed to stay a tending topic for most of the day, now he's back with a nostalgic single titled Sweet Fire. The rapper delivers some wistful lyrics over a sampled instrumental by the late Ray Phiri. Before AKA even dropped the song, he shared a few Tweets detailing the importance of harnessing late artists' music and passing it onto future generations - which is why sampling plays a big role in his music.
I really think with the passing of Ray Phiri & Hugh Masekela among other legends we've lost ... it's never been more important for the music to be passed on to the next generation. Younger people need to know this music so they can be reminded where we come from.

.... AND THAT IS WHY SAMPLING IS SO IMPORTANT TO THE CULTURE!!!

He also spoke about losing somebody you love and how making music helps soften the blow, this is basically what Sweet Fire is about, another timeless single in the bag. You can get the new single on iTunes right now. Check out what the streets had to say:
Like i said AKA’s muzic is not for everyone this sounds cocky but its the truth especially if u basic interms of having a good ear for the muzic u would never appreciate him u would always think he is being over praised and hyped.. he is a rare breed #sweetfire
