Jimmy Wiz could not wait the length of a full week till he drops a new joint so he thought, "Forget it, let em get this work!" He comes back with KayLo on another joint and this one proclaims the royalty he is with an aptly titled song, King.
I think KayLo's voice is gonna creep up on us this year with all these appearances she has on Jimmy's tracks. On King, Jimmy is laid back in his delivery as he never puts his greatness to rest. He does this humble-arrogance thing on this particular joint and it's got our minds in a knot. More and more we're falling deeper into his pen and pad to discover that these two elements never tire with him. Like a true King his presence is felt with the most subtle of efforts as he raps about coming from absolutely nothing but remaining persistent in his dream chase, something a lot of us can relate to. This is what we like to call black boy magic!
