Makwa is undergoing a transformation of sort, he's coming out of his "producer" light and fulfilling his higher purpose as an overall artist. He's been showing us his artistry since that fiery Rap Lyf Records release which spawned Inamba last year. Since then, he joined forces with Tweezy and Zingah for a track titled Porryland which was meant to be on their Seeds collabo project.
It's 2018 now and he's got something fresh for the people. He's dropping a brand new single that I think has the potential to cross over on a major scale if handled correctly. It's not a traditional "hip hop" track and is bound to have listeners of multiple generations dancing too. What am I on about? See, I can't really explain it without giving it away but think of Makwa's universal sound with a tinge of that authentic African flavour and this time around he borrows elements from the Batswana people. If you want to be an early bird, catch the premier of the song on DJ Sabby's The Best Drive on YFM this afternoon. Otherwise, meet us back here on Friday for the fresh drop.
