Tumi Tladi has finally unleashed to the world his debut album. You need to understand how personal it is to finally let go of an "official project" after making music for so long. Written In The Stars sounds more like a song of destiny than an actual album. On this album, Tumi charters to some musical ends we've never really heard him in. That's what we love about albums, there's always a new thing to learn about the artist.
For the majority of the album Tumi keeps a mid-tempo feel to the piece until you get to pieces like Want You which almost have you on top of a table dancing. He also sings a lot on the album which is something we haven't witnessed in depth from his single runs. You can tell it's another thing he loves to do. Quite a versatile album if we say so (not that it was never shown from him). Our favourite thing about the album is that despite the sound he may mess with (be it dancehall, pop, or dance) the consistency in tempo seems to remain intact. A solid effort for Tumi and the team.
