The adage goes, "remember where you come from." Yung Swiss takes us on a trip to his street in Rosettenville (Jo'burg) where it all began for him. Following his come up we've learned that he's fought the wildest of odds to emerge who he is right now.
For The Nation, which was dropped earlier this year with Don't Go There, is an ode to his come up along with the people who have helped him push himself to this level. He hangs out with some homies we identify as day ones 'cause they have actually seen his real come up, not this fancy one we know. He walks around his hood rapping to camera as he chills with the gang-gang in other shots on the street. A very special, and imaginably personal, visual from Yung Swiss to close of the year. Next year we're in album mode but I'll leave it till 2018 to start that conversation.
