Joyner Lucas just dropped off his latest single I'm Not Racist along with the visuals. The video is focused directly on the racial tension in the states, especially how transparent it became since Donald Trump went into office, hence the "Make America Great Again" cap. We find a white man lip-syncing Joyner's lyrics and they sound straight up racist and directed at black people, that time Joyner's black himself.
As the camera zooms out we find that he's, in fact, talking to a black man as they're seated at a table. While you listen to the lyrics, you then hear the tired, "I'm not racist, my sister in-law's baby cousin Tracy got a brother and his boyfriend's black" story. The track is quite thought-provoking, sounding like something some racist white people could be thinking without the guts to voice it out. Halfway through the video, the black man eventually gets to share his opinions and perspectives about black and white people in America. Both men eventually reach an understanding at the end.
