Lolo Vandal drops off his concise Bonus EP sporting 3 gripping tracks that show off his undeniable ghetto fabulous flavour.
He enters the scene with Yiphinde which sounds like what ghetto South African boom0bap would sound like if there was such a thing. His delivery is clear and his flows so strong in all he says, you can't help but bop your head to all he says. Keeping with a similar feel, he dips into Nyhan Nyhan which is probably the coolest love song you'll hear. He's not heartbroken, nor angry or any other intense emotion as he raps about the centre of his desires. It's so well executed, especially when he echoes Kelly Rowland and Nelly's Dilemma hook sporadically in an effected voice. On the last track, Nca Ngomntu, he takes it all the way towards the kwaito section of sounds. Is anyone hearing that mild "Casablanca, tsotis re a ehlaba" sample? COME ON! Lolo's flavour is something to investigate, he's got that Spaza influence in his Xhosa raps, yet he's completely full of that classic ghetto swag. Dope effort!
