You can't prepare for the festive season without the ordained blessing of King Kotini and hitmaker, Riky Rick. With love from him to the fans, he shares an 8 track long blessing called Stay Shining EP.
Being a producer himself, you are correct for anticipating fire beats on this EP. We're digging the overall feel good atmosphere that threads throughout the project. Aptly so, given that the title of the EP is his positivity mantra: Stay Shining. He welcomes us with an enchanting intro that plants seeds for the rest of the EP. You could say it's something taken out of a meditation studio. Very relaxing if we say so ourselves. Joy takes over from the pleasant intro with his smooth vocals that carry a similar theme as he croons "Stay Shining," singing about a well sought after feeling. Riky's EP opening is so precise in spilling all the feel good dosage you'd need from now, well into next year.
As soon as Buy It Out falls in, we enter a new "mood" in the EP where Riky reminds you of his ability to go hard when he wants to. This familiar single is a prefect prelude for Pick You Up with A-Reece going hard on his verse. Iyoh! The social streets are screaming about his appearance on this statement track and can you blame them? Just as we're still spazzing on that, Vapors with Nasty C and Tshego soothes us seamlessly into the next track, Murdah, which we think has the potential to rule many a dance floor this summer. The afrobeat/dancehall combination of Davido and Gemini Major is enough bait for the ladies to get lost in this mesmerising track.
We get an excellent outro in the Buy It Out Remix which houses literally the creme-de-la-creme of the game right now. In perfect hip hop head impulse, you might have seen the line up and already wondered who murdered who, or what the next person sounds compared to the other. Let us put you at ease, the track is so crazy with every man bringing their flavours out as they step into their verses and appearance on the track. BRAVO!
