@LilKim - Took Us A Break

Lil Kim hasn't sounded this hard in a minute. SHU! I had to double check if I was listening to the correct track 'cause she's sounding like a hella angry, yet cool and confident rapper in her latest single Took Us A Break. Although I saw a headline about her and Remy Ma possibly teaming up for a Nicki Minaj diss  track, I am so glad that's not the case herein. I mean, why can't Remy Ma let this mess go? And why does she have to bring the legend to this low level? Don't do it Kim!

Anyway, Took Us A Break finds Lil Kim bossing about her money, old money by the way, but saying she needs more. It's good to see that even though she's been off the scene for a minute, she's still living lavish. Her flow is also so refined. She's got that new age slow rap vibe going on but she also speeds up here and there showing her flexibility. She is after all the original It Girl. Does your rooftop have a rooftop? Thought so. Come sit here and cry in "I can't afford a new phone" with us. This is mad fire.
