@2LeeStark - Games EP

2Lee Stark offers his much talked about EP after mad demand for more music from him since the undeniable success of his lead single OFFBOYZ which also spawned a mad remix.

Games EP preludes his expected 2018 album and is an 8 track piece that lets us a bit closer into 2Lee's state of mind at present. The EP opens with the suspenseful Public Service Announcement, before it picks up into the pacy Yayo. The best part about Yayo is how it perfectly sets the tone for OFFBOYZ. Having 2Lee chant "OFFBOYZ" way before the track falls in is a twisted seed plant for the next track. It's brilliantly done. 

By the time OFFBOYZ cues in you're already off the hinges going crazy. Oddly enough, the storm has to calm to make way for Rap where it feels like 2Lee peeled off his wild mask to opt for a mean mug as he purposely flexes his rap skill. If you wondered whether Mr Stark has the emcee you could take to a cypher in him, wonder no more on this track. It seems Rap was the gateway to a softer sounding half of the project. From proving his stealthy emcee to showing his heart, Lose You reminds you that even rappers have emotions. Man, no one can be immune to this love thing phela. All the gangsters have tried and failed. 

As we near the end of the EP, Games slightly picks up the tempo but not so much the mood. Here he gets mad reflective. He sounds like a man running a never ending race; through fire, snow, rain and eventually walking through sunshine. Shu! 2Lee Stark is on one right now. Also, who is the voice on the hook 'cause his presence is much appreciated? Just as you were drifting into your feels, 2Lee slaps you back into reality with Izinja which is looming with danger in the production through the heavy bass blasting in the back. Izinja is definitely a good send off, and an even better prelude to the closing OFFBOYZ REMIX. 

If you've never taken heed of 2Lee Stark before, this EP should get you checking for him. I am, however, a bit disoriented from the emotional rollercoaster in the arrangement but the project itself houses some good work.
