M2KaNE released his Cardiology Pretape at the beginning of this year, March to be exact, and he decided to give us more. He brings us the deluxe edition of the Cardiology Pretape with an addition of four tracks, making it a nineteen-track project, he describes it as giving "more heart".
Cardiology is defined as "the branch of medicine that deals with diseases and abnormalities of the heart" and we find a couple songs in the project with titles relating to the heart. The deluxe edition is mostly handled by M2KaNE alone with some guest features from six other artists namely TK Soul, Isaac Wilson, Lwaistar, Virtu, D'OBz and Adrian Silas. First off we have the eerie Heartistry - Crossroads that has M2KaNE battling with whether he should chase his dream of making music or not with some assistance from TK and Isaac. Being the first of the many tracks he handles on his own, Believe comes in as a word of confidence in himself and his fellow rappers on one day taking over the game. He later comes in to say that he does not do music for the sake of Exposure. M2KaNE has quite a unique flow and style of rapping, he's more conscious than anything else and this is a quality that the game lacks currently. He spazzes throughout the CoKaNE Interlude and he later gives us Don't Hate Me with its vibey kicks as he pleads with his love interest not to hate him despite all that she's heard. He later goes on the hard-hitting Can't Let Go as a third offering to his lady. Being a sucker for a good love song, Float With Me easily became my favourite; it sounds like a continuation of Don't Hate Me as he asks his lady to ride for him. Mr Nice Guy on the other hand, comes as a braggadocious tune that has M2KaNE showing his lyricism off to the listener.
Could have sworn I've heard 9 To Vive before, turns out I have as he's dropped it before as a single. He raps about his grind which feels to him like a nine to five. He later gives us the controversial Free Slave, one of the new additions that has him tackling the system's unfairness to some people and he continues this on White Money, a street anthem about his ambition and perseverance. Virtu starts off the eerie Anxiety and they both deliver verses about how anxious they get when they're around their love interests. Baybee is another love song we get from M2KaNE where he again shows his skill and flows off, he'd later deliver another song titled Heartbeat where he expresses his love for his woman. He lowers the tempo on Heaven but picks it up again on Longevity, both tracks sounding sampled but M2KaNE holds his own quite well on both. Leaves and Rules sound somewhat similar and both have him rapping about his dreams and his life while growing up. With assistance from Adrian Silas, M2KaNE shares stories of hardship.
