Lute is dead on with his life plan for the visual of Still Slummin' which is taken off his West 1996 Pt. 2 project. Naturally, our strategies to attain goals are different but we're totally feeling the idea of "slumming it" while you chase that expensive dream. The aim is to keep your overheads low while you rack up that money aight?
In the black and white visual we see Lute working at a local take out spot with his cousin/work mate rapping in his ear about how he doesn't belong there and should actually be in a studio somewhere out there shining. As he leaves the store and strolls down the street, a neighbour drives by and raps to him about how he's destined for greatness and should not be shy about it. We really like how he manages to get people outside of himself to rap his lyrics as though they are giving him a pep talk. That's brilliant writing and direction on his end. Beautiful work here.
