@johnlegend ft @chancetherapper - Penthouse Floor

Where do you begin to describe the potent art on display when its at this level of magnitude? John Legend once again shakes up the comfortable feathers of classism and inequality in his latest visual for Penthouse Floor. We see life through his guide as he maneuvers the prestigious hotel he works for.

We go from him clocking in his work card, to him going through multiple floors and rooms of the hotel serving different classes of well-off people. While life in the hotel is going on as usual, there's a protest outside its doors by people who want to be counted as part of society, or rather, people who want to be seen as equal no matter what their class is. They eventually break into the hotel and we see John Legend open the door to a suite for them to enjoy themselves as he plays piano. Before long, essentially all the white people he was serving in a fancy dining hall, as well as the police who were blocking the protest, all show up to the suite where employees and other classed people are hanging out and they join in on the party. A strong message about the need for us as people of all races to simply sit next to each other and have a conversation, share stories and life with each other instead of exercising prejudice and stereotypes that so frequently taint the harmony of our society. A powerful display of depth, truth, and bravery to an extend. Long live the Legend!
