Stogie T announced on his socials that the prolific visual director Makere Cross Thekiso has gone on to create a film for Tumi's legendary Yvonne piece which was birthed in the times of Tumi and The Volume about 12 years ago. There have been various instances where Stogie T speaks about how fans want "the Yvonne Tumi," which solidifies just how monumental this piece is in his dense career catalogue.
Of course, some of us have since moved with the times and are embracing the new moniker but history is embedded in the walls of time for a reason. Moments like these remind us that true art is timeless and will probably outlive many of us once our time on earth is up. We too, like Stogie T, can't wait to see what Cross has done with the visual interpretation of this important poem. Stay tuned for more info on the work.
