@akaworldwide Responds To #RedbullCultureClash Comments x Cheating Rumours

By @Lenoir on 09/25/2017 in News

This past weekend we went out to the Redbull Culture Clash and it was quite a success despite the cold weather. The contenders went head to head on different stages, entertaining the crowd with the hopes of gaining points and winning. After Patoranking's crew got disqualified for repeating a song done by another crew, only the Top Boyz, Durban Massacre and African Storm were left in the competition. All the teams got opportunities to bring guest performers on stage and while the crowd went nuts after Davido, Mdu and Mgarimbe were brought on stage, I lost my mind when Tswaka played and HHP came on to perform, later being followed by Jub Jub.

Of course, comments were made by some crew leaders, like when AKA referenced 2Pac's Hit Em Up directing it at MamiIntja - all for sport, nothing personal. In the end, although some fans believed that the Top Boyz could have won, Dj Tira's Durban Massacre was the triumphant crew for the night. Other crew leaders came out to congratulate the winners before leaving them to do a victory performance for the fans. Social media went into a frenzy because the Top Boyz didn't win and also argued that AKA threw jabs at Mampintja and Babes Wodumo, also mentioning some infidelity scandals and cheating rumours at the Culture Clash. The rapper went on Twitter to address these accusations one by one.
