Off their joint album, YUNGLOON TALIBOOM which dropped just last year, Youngsta and Maloon bring us the music video for one of the tracks titled Bashews. The title of the track is actually named after a popular soda in Cape Town and the intro of the video has a young man telling a story about his experiences with the cool drink. Don't know if this has anything to do with brand placement but I'm digging the concept, especially how Youngsta tells his stories and shares hood politics in his verses. The beat actually sounds old school, something cats would freestyle to now. Speaking of freestyle, the Kaapstaad Na%!er is actually one of the dopest freestylers around. Had a chance to hear him freestyle over the weekend and he would legit spit bars about whatever is surrounding him at the time. He's suited up in Salutas and Cape Flats merch as he raps in the streets of Wynberg with young kids walking behind him. Youngsta actually delivers a freestyle at the end of the video, straight from the dome, put some respek on his name!
