Sipho The Gift drops off his second single following The Man. He spazzes on a minimalistic beat filled with thin instruments in the back like echoing bells clouded by what sounds like an ocean in the far distance. It's really hard to put your finger on the elements but they consume you so much that you get lost in them.
Sipho has a neck for dreamy and hallucinatory music which he juxtaposes with his quick biting rhymes. On The Long Way Home you hear the sounds of what you can imagine to be a child lost in the wilderness at night as chaos breaks out around him in the nearby city. After some soft inaudible chants he comes on rapping about needing help but never receiving it from people. He's truimphant regardless as the hook is about him finding victory in who he is and where he is right now. You gotta love the spirit in him.
