In part 3 of our sit down with Rouge we get into a much deeper part of The New Era Sessions in chapter 3 which is based on love. The stories of love tackled in this part of the album surround self love, relationship love and the need to heal after some rocky encounters in life.
An important conversation that stems from this part of the chat is when we talk about the heartfelt Naledi, and The Break Up where Rouge opens up about how her own relationship once hit a hard time which inspired the song itself. She also talks about Naledi who is a hurt woman that's been through a lot that has influenced the way she views love and life in general. Rouge brings us back to the empathy we need to have for some women out there who might be broken but are often judged and misunderstood instead. A very powerful reality and a mature consideration on Rouge's side. Man, you gotta love this album. The more she talks about it the more you nod your head in understanding and relation.
