That was the sentiment reflected across social media this week as Arthur Mafokate took to Instagram to honour a lineup of influential figures recognised at The Legends Awards 2025.
Arthur Mafokate’s heartfelt tribute on Instagram became a powerful reminder of why South African excellence continues to shine through generations. The music pioneer took a moment to celebrate the achievements of several remarkable figures, with one name standing out being Thembi Seete, honoured as the Youth Inspiration Legend 2025. His words were clear and sincere: “A woman of many talents — song, stage and screen — and an example to all who follow. Congratulations.” The tribute was part of a broader acknowledgment of South Africans whose work, resilience, and influence have built a foundation for generations to come.
For Arthur Mafokate, this celebration wasn’t just about accolades, but about legacy. Reflecting on the growth of The Legends Awards and A Night with Legends, he expressed gratitude for how the vision has evolved. He wrote “This year proved that the vision works. Sold-out shows.
